Men of the Forest – The Wolf Clan

Gathering in a Wolf Clan Circle, drumming and singing, sharing life’s victories and challenges with a group of men as we explore nature and what it means to be a man; as we learn to become one with the land, build and bond.

Join us on one Sunday afternoon each month in the forests of Putnam County, NY, where you'll step into the Wolf Clan Circle.

As you arrive you step into The Wolf Clan Circle, Drum, Sing, Howl, or speak with your brother. After all members have entered the circle we will open with The Brotherhood Ceremony.

The Wolf is one of our greatest teachers, guiding us on life's journey and imparting invaluable wisdom. The Wolf Clan provides a space for men to share their experiences and insights, while also nurturing our connection to the Earth and cultivating inner strength along our respective paths. The wolf embodies both loyalty to the pack and a strong individualistic spirit, themes we will explore together.

Throughout the afternoon, you can anticipate:

• Introductions and sharing within the Wolf Clan Circle
• A guided pack walk through the woods, pausing at sacred sites along the way
• Hands-on forest construction or engaging in wilderness activities

Forest Construction: Craft wooden arbors, entrances, or ceremonial structures utilizing materials provided by the forest.

Wilderness Activities: Participate in axe throwing, canoeing & kayaking, snowshoeing, archery, and wilderness survival skills.

• Conclude with "The Lone Wolf": Embark on a solo Forest Wisdom Wandering or engage in a Sit Spot Meditation.
• Share your insights and experiences with the clan upon returning.

Join us on April 14th as we build an Entrance Arbor to the Wolf Clan Circle in Patterson, NY, from 1 pm to 4 pm, using gathered cedar branches and grapevines.

Michael “Pondhawk” Gulbrandsen extends this invitation to all men aged 21 and older.
